What’s been happening:

After receiving the B.S. in'50, I owned a commercial farm; then returned to PSU for MS and PhD. in Poultry Sci.& Zoology. We (Wife Rhea,2 boys & girl), moved to Virginia Tech as Ass't, then Assoc. Prof. In 1964, took position as Research Physiologist for USDA at Athens,GA. with an appt. as Prof. in Veterinary School,U. Ga. Returned to PSU as Prof.& Head, Dept. Poultry Sci. in 1984. Retired as Emeritus Prof.,Avian Physiology, 1997. Honors&Awards: Poultry Science Assn. Research Award, 1961;Fellow A.A.A.S, 1963;USDA Distinguished Service Awards, 1968,1971,1972; Fulbright-Hays Grant & Senior Res. Fellow, U. Wageningen, Netherlands,1980;Senior Res. Fellow, Wageningen, Netherlands,1991, Gordon Memorial Award, British Poultry Science Assn.,1994;Pennsylvania Senate Commendation,1994; Editor-in-Chief, Poultry Science Journal, 1980-86;1995-2002. Member- Poultry Science Assn; World Poultry Science; A.A.A.S;Am Soc. Zoologists;Soc. Exp. Biol. & Med, Publications: Journal Papers, 107, Book Chapters 6,Review Articles, 8. Now retired, living in Colorado Springs, CO, 3 children, 4 grandchildren
